Meet BCHA’s Steward of Sustainability! Dylan offers BCHA members a wealth of expertise and works hand in hand with operators to do a comprehensive energy audit. Dylan provides solutions for accommodators to save energy, water, and money!

Driven by a sincere passion for sustainability and to help accommodators take real action in our collective fight against Climate Change, Dylan is BCHA’s Energy Analyst—offering sustainable solutions that help operators save money and attract a growing market of eco-conscious travellers.

An Energy Conservation Professional with a Certified Energy Manager designation, Dylan has over 16 years of experience in the industry. His first role in the energy conservation business was in 2003 with BC Hydro as a Power Smart Outreach representative handing out free compact fluorescent light bulbs, this eventually led to a role within the Key Account Management group at BC Hydro.

After leaving BC Hydro, Dylan spent 8 years with CLEAResult, an energy conservation consulting firm, working on a variety of contracts with other utility companies and government agencies. This took him to Toronto for work with the Independent Electricity System Operator and their Save-ON-Energy program, to Calgary to work with Energy Efficiency Alberta as a Senior Account Manager, and back to BC to deliver a program on behalf of FortisBC.

Through his work with GreenStep Solutions, Dylan joined the BCHA as an Energy Analyst where he completes thorough property audits to identify eco-efficient and cost-saving solutions.

Dylan is a father to two young daughters and enjoys escaping to the trails and lakes on the weekends, enjoying all that BC has to offer.
