Wholesale pricing on liquor products for Liquor Primary and Food Primary Licensees – saving your hotel an average of 20% on liquor purchases.
Extended deadline for TESA authorizations to December 31, 2024 – giving your hotel the time needed to convert temporary patio spaces to permanent fixtures.
Serve a free glass of wine at check-in, and permit guests to take unfinished drinks to their room – allowing you to offer an elevated guest experience.
Increased liquor transfer amount to $100,000 – giving your hotel more flexibility to share liquor inventory between licenses.
Extended liquor room service hours to 24 hours – regardless of your hotel’s licensed hours, if served with a meal.
Dual members enjoy access to ABLE BC’s resources and benefits, including webinars on topics like how to handle cash vs electronic gratuities, FAQs on issues like BC and Canada’s plastic prohibition, and discounted and exclusive services from benefit providers Western Financial Group, Sona, Global Payments, Foodbuy, and more.

BCHA Members have access to labour relations expertise through Hospitality Industrial Relations (HIR).
LABOUR RELATIONS EXPERTISE
HIR originated as an arm of the British Columbia Hotel’s Association (BCHA). Its role was solely focused on acting as the bargaining agent for BCHA members in collective agreement negotiations. In 1987, HIR was incorporated as a society and has since been committed to helping businesses in the hospitality sector maintain great labour relations with their employees and unions. Today HIR serves its members through collective agreement negotiation, advice and guidance on all aspects of collective agreement administration, education seminars, advocacy at the Labour Relations Board, grievance procedures, and arbitration hearings.
BCHA is proud to work alongside the Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) to strengthen the voice of BC’s tourism and hospitality sector.
TOURISM ADVOCACY LEADERSHIP
TIABC is the leading advocate for British Columbia’s visitor economy. Representing tourism operators, destination marketing organizations, sector associations, and other stakeholders, TIABC works to ensure that the value of tourism is understood and supported at all levels of government. Through policy development, research, and direct engagement with decision-makers, TIABC plays a critical role in addressing key issues affecting the tourism industry—including regulations, transportation, funding, land use, and sustainability. BCHA and TIABC collaborate closely to align advocacy efforts and drive solutions that benefit the broader hospitality and tourism ecosystem.
