News + Updates

At go2HR we’re proud of our ongoing partnership with CMHA BC. Together, we provide industry-specific mental health resources, support, and training programs to the tourism and hospitality industry. This May, from May 6 to 10, we celebrate CMHA Mental Health Week.  We encourage all industry employers to participate by prioritizing their employees’ mental health and wellbeing.

Why is Employee Mental Health Important in Hospitality?

In our industry, exceptional service hinges on happy and healthy staff. By fostering a psychologically safe workplace, you create an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and less stressed. This translates into a positive experience for your guests, staff, and ultimately, your bottom line.

The Power of Kindness: This Year’s CMHA Theme

The 2024 theme, “A Call to be Kind,” emphasizes building compassionate workplaces. This means:

  • Supporting your staff: Regularly check in, recognize signs of stress, and offer genuine concern.
  • Creating a safe space: Encourage open communication and address concerns promptly.
go2HR: Your Partner in Building a Mentally Healthy Workplace

go2HR offer a range of resources to help you champion employee mental health, including:

Invest in Your Staff, Invest in Your Business

By prioritizing mental health, you’re not just doing the right thing, you’re building a stronger, more resilient team.

Partner with go2HR today and make Mental Health Week a springboard for positive change in your hotel.

go2HR is the Human Resources and Health & Safety Association for BC’s tourism and hospitality industry. Our role is to drive strong workforces and safe workplaces that deliver world-class tourism and hospitality experiences in British Columbia.
